Why I Created Wellness Wave — And Why Every Woman Deserves a Reset

We live in a culture that celebrates burnout.
That praises women who “do it all” but rarely asks how they’re really doing.
That tells us to keep going — even when our minds, bodies, and hearts are asking for a pause.
As a previous career chaser, entrepreneur, wellness professional and a mom, I know this story intimately. I’ve lived it.
And I’ve worked with so many women who feel like they’re surviving more than they’re thriving. Like they are part of a hamster wheel, or just barely getting by.
And I know social media can make it seem like answer is a 5 day retreat. But here's the truth.
You don’t need to get on a plane.
You don’t need a 5-day, $3,000 wellness retreat.
You don’t need to rearrange your whole life just to feel like yourself again.
What you do need — is a pause.
A breath.
A space to exhale and say, “I matter too.”
That’s why I created Wellness Wave — Monmouth County's first Women’s Wellness Crawl.
It’s not a multi-day retreat.
It’s not a workshop.
It’s a reset.
A half-day experience that weaves together movement, nourishment, stillness, and connection — in the heart of our local communities.
What is it?
It’s a half-day experience that blends what women are truly craving:
☕ A warm, welcoming start to the day
💪 Gentle, powerful movement to reconnect with your body
🥗 A nourishing, intentional meal
💆♀️ Space to soften — with touch, stillness, and support
👯♀️ And maybe most importantly — the company of women who get it
No pretense. No pressure. Just presence.
Why This Matters
I created this because I’ve felt the weight of burnout.
I’ve felt the pull to do more, give more, push through.
And I’ve watched woman after woman do the same.
Whether we are told it, or we just internalize and pressurize ourselves, we have this belief that rest is earned.
That slowing down is indulgent.
That self-care is for when there is time - and that's just not the phase of life we're in right now.
But, I don’t believe that anymore.
I believe that wellness should be accessible, affordable, local, human.
That you can reset your nervous system and reconnect with your soul — without getting on a plane or taking a week off work.
That a few hours of intention and care can create a ripple effect that lasts far beyond the day.
Yes, this is Pilates and facials. But really, it’s about:
Redefining what wellness looks like for women
Supporting the incredible local businesses that hold our communities together
Creating spaces where women feel seen, safe, and celebrated
Reminding women they don’t have to do it all alone
The response has already been incredible — and we’re just getting started.
The First Stop: Red Bank, NJ
This November, we’ll welcome our first 8 women to The Red Bank Reset — an intimate, guided wellness journey through coffee, reformer Pilates, plant-based lunch, a mini spa session, and meaningful conversation all done by 2pm leaving you the afternoon to return to your life rested and full.
It’s intentional.
It’s local.
And it’s built around the belief that you don’t need to earn your self care — you just need a place to receive it (and maybe someone to curate it for you).
What’s Next
The Red Bank Reset is just the first wave.
We’re planning to bring Wellness Wave to other towns across Monmouth County — from Holmdel to Asbury to Long Branch and beyond — each one reflecting the flavor and soul of that community.
I’m so excited (and honestly, a little emotional) to be launching something that feels deeply needed — not just by others, but by me too.
If you’ve ever thought,
“I wish I had a moment just for me...”
This is it.
If you’re a woman who’s tired of being tired…
If you run a wellness business and want to collaborate…
Or if you just want to follow the wave…
Let’s connect. Let’s create something more sustainable — and more human.
